Time: Much Too Early
Place: Ward's "Bust-a-Knuckle"
Garage
Session:
Leatherique Clinic
Our gracious host Paula, set up
coffee, donuts, and bagels before she left for work that morning.
Our small group gathered in the kitchen for breakfast and a little
chit-chit. (I think they were just giving me time to wake up and
become coherent.) We then promptly entered the classroom and began
the tech session. Professor Ward was scurrying around while Ed
Hale orated, and Headmaster Dean (pun intended) presented the
various products as they were mentioned in the instructions. Since
Ed and Dean were not always in synch, we decided the best way to
learn was to jump directly into the practical demonstration.
Two (of two) seats had been removed
from the Hale's car as well as the door panels. One seat had
already been cleaned and prepared, so we dove right into the
"painting" of the leather. The reconditioned leather literally
changed before our eyes. After several expert painters worked on the
pieces, Ed and Sandy became the proud owners of a beautiful new
interior for their car. If you get the chance to see their car (the
tech session photos don't do it justice) you will see for yourself
what a wonderful product Leatherique is. (Make sure you look on the
lower edge of the right door panel, for that is the section I
painted. Come to think of it, I think they only let me paint that
section because you can't see it once it's installed in the car!)
It was a great tech session and I
look forward to many others like it.
